Join PAL for the Lt. Mike Bintz Memorial Baseball Skills and Drills Clinics

Saturday's in March 10am -Noon Albany High School, 700 Washington Ave. (Main Entrance)

In partnership with the Albany High School Baseball Team, American and National Little League and PAL, join us for indoor baseball clinics to help hone skills and learn the basics before the 2020 Little League season begins. This fun program is a great way to kick off the baseball season.

After School Homework Club


After School Club 

Enrollment is now open! Download application HERE

After School club provides a safe and enriching environment in which children can bond with peers from other schools and receive homework assistance from staff and volunteers. Sessions consist of designated homework, activity and snack time. Activities vary daily and consist of outdoor games, gym time,  arts & crafts, dance and more. After School Club runs from 2:30 to 5:30PM every full School day. 

The Cost of the After School Club is offered on a sliding scale based off of household income and household size.

This excellent 8 and under program is fantastic for building the basics and learning team play.
Join PAL every Saturday from 1-3pm now till March 28th at the PAL Center, 844 Madison Ave.

Learn the basic skills of passing, shooting and trapping. Skills and drills to effectively teach the sport to get ready for scrimmaging and school level play. 
This great program serves as a fantastic introduction to any youth looking to get started with soccer.

Mentoring

Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program is a FREE program which matches Albany City youth with compassionate, concerned, and interested adults from the community. Mentors and mentees meet once a week at the Albany PAL Center for a 60-90 minute session. Mentors and mentees will participate in a variety of activities such as character and leadership development, health and life skills, sports and recreation, arts and crafts, and education and career development programs.

Mentoring is a great way to engage our youth and promote a healthy sense of community while connecting with Community Volunteers and Law Enforcement in a positive, structured and nurturing environment

Youth Leadership Council (YLC)


Youth Leadership Council (YLC)

The Albany PAL Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is made up of high school-aged children who work with Albany Police Officers and PAL staff to discuss and recommend effective ways to better Albany PAL. The YLC provides a youthful voice in determining PAL programs, policies, and strategies. The children of YLC provide positive peer role models, improve communication between PAL staff and the youth they serve, and perform community service projects. The YLC meets at the Albany PAL Center @ VI every 1st and 3rd Monday from 6:30-7:30 PM.YLC runs from mid September until June 30th. Enrollment is year round. Come join us and help make a difference in your community.

Explorers

Explorers is a career education program for high school-aged youth who are interested in learning more about the field of law enforcement. Explorers emphasizes five areas of importance; career opportunities, service learning, leadership experience, life skills, and character education. The mission of the Explorer program is to serve others by helping instill core values in young people and, in other ways, prepare them to make ethical choices throughout their lives so they can achieve their full potential.
