Youth Leadership Council (YLC)

Youth Leadership Council (YLC)

The Albany PAL Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is made up of high school-aged children who work with Albany Police Officers and PAL staff to discuss and recommend effective ways to better Albany PAL. The YLC provides a youthful voice in determining PAL programs, policies, and strategies. The children of YLC provide positive peer role models, improve communication between PAL staff and the youth they serve, and perform community service projects.

The YLC meets at the Albany PAL Center @ VI every 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 PM.
YLC runs from mid September until June 30th.
Enrollment is year round. Come join us and help make a difference in your community.

Explorers

Explorers

Explorers is a career education program for high school-aged youth who are interested in learning more about the field of law enforcement. Explorers emphasizes five areas of importance; career opportunities, service learning, leadership experience, life skills, and character education. The mission of the Explorer program is to serve others by helping instill core values in young people and, in other ways, prepare them to make ethical choices throughout their lives so they can achieve their full potential.
